Go to the DEA Diversion website www.deadiversion.usdoj.gov and look on the left side of the screen for REGISTRATION and click it
Now you are in the REGISTRATION TOOLS Section. Look at REGISTRATION VALIDATION and click it
Now you have the DEA REGISTRATION VALIDATION LOGON SCREEN
Now you have to put in YOUR information first which includes: YOUR DEA number, the name on YOUR registration certificate as it is listed, YOUR social security number or the Business Tax ID which ever you used initially on your registration application.
Now LOGIN. If you are successful, it will take you to the next page. If not, you need to look very closely on your information you provided. For example, if your pharmacy registration READS John Doe's Pharmacy and you enter John Doe Pharmacy, the system will tell you that the information you listed was wrong. Another example is that your registration has ", Inc." at the end and you list "Inc." and forget the coma well it is going to tell you that you have listed wrong information. PLEASE UNDERSTAND that the system is not set to tell you what information is wrong. This is a DEA system that was created to help you validate a registration and it works with the registration information that you initially listed in the application. The system is never WRONG and you need to look at the information you provided very careful.
Now if you LOGIN, you need to provide the information it ask for from you. It will give you the practitioner's registration number, their address, their Schedules that they are permitted and the expiration date.
