Look Out for a National Vaccine Survey of Pharmacies from the GAO in the Next Month
The U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO), a federal agency that gathers information for the U.S. Congress, is conducting a study examining the ability of Medicare beneficiaries to access routinely recommended vaccinations, including any barriers to beneficiary access those vaccinations.
As part of the study, GAO is conducting a national survey of pharmacies to gather information about pharmacy participation in Medicare and practices regarding recommending, stocking, and administering vaccines. If you receive a GAO survey in the mail, we encourage you to complete and return the survey promptly.
With your input, the study will provide valuable information to Congress as it considers the future of the Medicare program.
