Make sure your motion sickness OTC meds are given good shelf space for the summer. Add ginger lozenges and a “Talk to the Pharmacist” sign

With summer in full swing, time to remind customers about sunblock! Cross merchandise Sunblock with Vitamin D supplements. Put up a sign that says “Sunblock blocks Vitamin D too, Talk to the pharmacist about the best options for you”
Keep your sunglasses and sun readers fully stocked and dusted. Add a sign to your display “Added Protection Against Harmful UV Rays”
Create an end cap of “Bites, Bruises, and Band-Aids” with First aid for insect bites, poison ivy, sunburn, cuts and scrapes. Include tick removers.
Check to see if your POS is up to date!
Check sales reports to find slow movers, consolidate lines and find new products to boost sales.
Compare sales from this month last year to current month. Fine tune your order strategy to ensure you have the right product on hand for the season.
Then do a shelf review, check for out of dates in your OTC products, dust boxes, wash down shelves, and return any sun faded product.
Look at your back room inventory. Is it high moving items or just taking up space? Return or put on clearance any non movers.
Pull out last year’s flu shot sign to make sure it is still in good condition. Order another one if not to ensure it arrives in time!
Check with schools for back to school lists for students.
Look at last years back to school sales items. If sales were low, consider ordering some bright signs advertising back to school product. Stock-up on items for an August display.
