Fall Ordering Prep

Pull out last year’s flu shot sign to make sure it is still in good condition. Order another one if not to ensure it arrives in time!

Check with schools for back to school lists for students.

Look at last years back to school sales items. If sales were low, consider ordering some bright signs advertising back to school product. Stock-up on items for an August display.

Fall Pharmacy Projects

Make a plan to decorate the outside of your store for the holidays! It will bring joy to your patients and it will attract new ones.

Take a good look at your carpet/flooring. The wear signs will tell you where no one goes.

Take down displays with less than 1/3 of their inventory and either restock or put items back on shelf.

Late day sun spotlights dust on the shelves and dirt on the windows. Take time to dust your shelves and clean them of any smudges or dirt.

Pull out of dates from the OTC Shelves and dust. Make sure all product has an accurate price sticker and shelf tag

Flu and Immunization time!

Ask every patient if they have had their flu shot.

Assign someone on your pharmacy team to focus on forms, supplies, signs and how best to market and promote immunizations/Flu shots.

Get ready for walk in flu shots. Have an area for the shots stocked with supplies and update your intake form.

Add a question on your flu intake form to see if patients are up to date on Tetanus and pneumonia shots. Helps both patients and your revenue.

Train all staff on immunization procedures and assign responsibility for daily maintenance.
